Golden, Colorado, August 19th, 2009 (OTCBB:LVCA) ˇV An average gold grade of 3.48 grams per ton was realized from bulk trench sampling at the companyˇ¦s Kinyambwiga gold project, northern Tanzania. Initial leach assays for 500 gram samples were recently received for quartz vein samples exposed in newly excavated trenches. The new trenches at Kinyambwiga were excavated to expose and extend new portions of coarse gold bearing quartz veins for detailed sampling.? Each sample represents a two meter long segment of quartz vein rock exposed in the new trenches.? These large size samples were tested to determine the fractional amount of relatively coarse gold available for leaching; fire assay results will follow for these same samples and will give an indication of the total gold content present in the same samples.? The average leach gold grade for these samples is 3.48 grams per metric ton of vein material. Leach Assays
Roger Newell, President of Lake Victoria Mining Company, stated ˇ§These initial leach results are encouraging and suggest that significant amounts of the gold may be relatively coarse grained and suitable for recovery by routine gravity methods; there is visible gold in Kinyambwiga samples and once the fire assays are available we will have a better idea of the total gold grade in these vein samples. If positive, the results will assist us to make near term production related decisions.ˇ¨ Additional information regarding the Company is available on the corporate website at: www.lakevictoriaminingcompany.com or by contacting: Lake Victoria Mining Company, Inc.
