Acquisition Criteria
Lake Victoria Mining Company has acquired twelve uranium licenses, consisting of five blocks, in Tanzania. Uranium license acquisition criteria has been based on the following::
- countrywide airborne radiometrics identifying anomalies
- previous works in colonial time by Geological survey
- recent exploration activities on related geological environment especially (the Karoo super group and the Quaternary deposits) and
- the new deposits discovered - especially in Malawi along Lake Nyasa.
- Madaba-Mkuju South-east Karoo Uranium mineralization trend in Karoo sandstone to Lake Nyasa. Geosurvey conducted drilling and the results as explained - see Uranium overview.
- The Malawi Deposits Northern Trend along Lake Nyasa and Lake Rukwa. These occurrences are located between Lake Rukwa and Lake Nyasa; these lakes originate from East African rifting.
- A long Lake Nyasa following Karoo Trend. Similar analogy as Kayekera uranium deposit in Malawi.
- Geological environment similar to Bahi for calcrete type of deposit occurring mainly in Mbuga.
- Falling in Gallapo Carbonatite Trend.
